Community Based Programming
Working with leaders, Masters, and professors in various Multi-Cultural Arts, Physical Activities, and Martial Arts, Arts for Action offers many other Diverse Youth and Adult Programs offered in:
–SON JAROCHO CLASS– AT ARTS FOR ACTION (535 South C Street in Downtown Oxnard)THURSDAYS aT 7 PM…. Come to learn the oldest Mestizo tradition in Mexico which blends Native, African, and Spanish roots into the beautiful rhythms, melodies, dances, and ways……taught by Maestro Jorge Mijangos!HAVE AN ELECTRIFYING TIME WITH THE GREAT ENERGY and SPREAD THE WORD!
–Global Percussion and Drumming--Dynamic and Interactive lessons, and classes are available which link cultural history, and education for children and adults. Including Latin, African, American, Brazilian, and other multi-cultural rhythms.
--Music Recording and Community Radio--A4A’s studio offers state of the art recording and broadcasting.
–Martial Arts and Physical Education including Kung-Fu, Yoga, and Capoeira (Afro-Brazilian Martial Art)–Dynamic Youth and Adults programs are offered to increase self-esteem, flexibility, power, discipline, and cultural awareness. Programs can be for large groups, agencies, schools, and private sessions.
–Dance--Including Samba, African Dance, and more!
